Flight Training Minimum Requirements
Private Pilot Certificate
• Be at least 17 years old (16 years old to solo)
• 40 Hours of Flight Time
• Complete Multiple Choice Written Exam (70% Required to Pass)
• Complete Oral Exam
• Complete Flying Exam

Instrument Rating
• Hold a Private Pilot Certificate or Greater
• 50 Hours of PIC Cross Country Flight Time
• 40 Hours of actual or simulated IFR
*Though we are not currently equipped for actual IFR, we can help you reach your required simulated IFR time at a some of the lowest rates around!*
Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Be at least 18 years old
• 250 Hours of Flight Time
• Complete Multiple Choice Written Exam
(70% Required to Pass)
• Complete Oral Exam
• Complete Flying Exam

Flight endorsements such as tailwheel, high performance, complex, high altitude, etc do not have a minimum time requirement and instead require demonstrated abilities. Our staff is well versed in these training events and would happily give you an estimated timeline based on your prior flight experience!
